I believe everyone has the ability to create a vision of the change they want in their lives and take steps to make that vision a reality. My role as your therapist is to hold space for you as you discover your truth and uncover your strength. At times, mental health symptoms such as anxiety, depression, or past trauma can interfere with the life you desire. As your therapist, I will walk with you as we explore the barriers standing in your way and work toward meaningful change.
While I see couples and individuals (ages 18 and older) with a wide range of presenting concerns, I have a special interest in helping clients in four key areas: 1.Marital conflict – Supporting couples in strengthening communication, navigating challenges, and deepening emotional intimacy. 2. Breaking generational cycles and healing from dysfunctional family dynamics – Helping individuals recognize and overcome unhealthy patterns rooted in childhood experiences or family systems. 3. Religious trauma, Church Hurt, or crisis in faith – Providing a safe, nonjudgmental space for clients to process spiritual wounds, religious disillusionment, or faith transitions. 4. Racial identity issues within the African American community – Helping clients explore identity, cultural connection, and the impact of intergenerational trauma.
I received my Master of Arts in Mental Health Counseling from Gordon Conwell Theological Seminary in 2023. I am active and in good standing with the North Carolina Board of Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselors (A18494). CV available upon request.
Beyond my clinical work, I enjoy puttering in my garden and taking epic road trips with my spouse.
